Dahlia and Beautiful Leaves

I still have the great joy of my dahlia, since we have not had frost. I can see that there are many who have already dug dahlia tubers up, but I always wait to dig up the tubers, for after we got the first frost.

Dahlia pictures below are from yesterday, when it finally managed to get in the garden.

One of my colleagues has a dahlia bed in the cottage, where they dig dahlia tubers up. Instead, they cut the stems off before the first frost, and cover the dahlia bed with Rockwool winter mats.

I think blueberry shrub and snebollebuskens orange red leaves are the perfect backdrop for dahlia flowers :-)

Last Friday I had a day off, and I had looked forward to a havedag. I did not come in having either Friday or Saturday when it rained non stop.

My daughter has jumped on the craze by drawing patterns on beautiful eterårsblade with Posca pens.
